TLD’s Seely Wins First-Ever 450SX Main Event

HOUSTON, TX – April 12, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) –  Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely has been on a hot streak for most of the East Coast swing and at NRG Stadium his dream of collecting his first 450SX win came true. Seely led all 20 laps of the Main Event in front of a crowd of 48,024, moving him up into third in the championship standings.

March was a good month for Seely, who didn’t finish lower than fourth during the last four races. He brought that confidence and quickness to the Lone Star State, qualifying third, winning his heat race and then leading from start to finish in the Main Event.

“I’ve been having so much fun on the bike and I think that showed tonight,” said Seely. “If you asked me if I would have a win at Anaheim 1 or Phoenix, I would have probably told you no. But I feel like the past few races it’s been at my fingertips and I finally was able to capitalize. It feels amazing.”

Seely moved into third in the championship standings, and is comfortably ahead of fourth (a rider out with injury) and fifth.

Seely was wearing the 2015 GP Galaxy Blue Gear and the 2015 SE3 Galaxy Blue/Orange Helmet. Check out all of the 2015 gear sets and the 2015 Moto Helmets online and find your local TLD retailer.
