SpeedMob Announces New Dion Device Pro

FROM THE HIDEOUT, RICHMOND, CA – February 9, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Dion Device was founded on the premise of providing Innovative Rider Protection and over the course of the last three years, the Dion Device Privateer and top level Factory Racer models have proven their value time and again, both saving lives and saving bikes. Now after much R&D and on track development, Dion Device is proud to announce the release of the new Pro series.

The new Dion Device Pro offers the strength of the Factory Race and the utility-like durability of the Privateer. Utilizing a process of extruding and forging the 6061 Aluminum, it provides exceptional strength and rebound. With its reticulated design, it absorbs an incredible amount of energy acting like a handlebar mounted slider to protect many critical components of the motorcycle in the case of on track incidents.

Teams and riders have recognized safer racing conditions as the Dion Device covers the entire front brake lever as opposed to bar-end mounted “hook” designs that just cover the lever tip. These same teams and riders have reported thousands of dollars in savings from not having to replace exhaust silences, rear sets, clip-ons, gas tanks and body work panels after the Dion Device, with its carbon fiber sliders, served a big part in saving these components.

Even more appealing, the new Pro is priced identical to the Privateer at an MSRP of $199.00, which is $100.00 below the former Factory Racer MSRP. The Dion Device Pro Brake Lever Guards are available now through SpeedMob. Racer support is also available on the new Dion Device Pro.

Dion Device is a rider protection company that was started in Quebec, Canada. The creator, Stephane Dion, was on a mission to build a great product but also to fulfill a promise he made to his close personal friend Michele Mercier. In 2005 Max Mercier (son of Michele Mercier) crashed in Shannonville, Ontario and was killed from a front brake lever contact incident. Stephane made a solemn promise to Michele to stop the madness and develop a product to keep riders safer from front brake lever contact induced crashes. Dion Devices have been tested at the highest levels of professional racing, World Superbike, British Superbike, multiple European national series and here in the US with Factory Yamaha rider and Superbike Champion Josh Hayes & teammate Cameron Beaubier, as well as Red Bull RoadRace Factory’s Supersport Champion Jake Gagne and teammate Thomas Puerta. These names are amongst the hundreds of current professional and amateur racers and track day participants that have recognized the benefits and confidence that racing with Dion Devices inspires and provides.
