Ty Tremaine – Junior EnduroCross Champion Cooper Abbott – Open Amateur Champion

MEDFORD, OR – November 24, 2014 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Overall, the final round of the GEICO EnduroCross was a great event for all the Motorcycle Superstore support riders. Cody Webb won the Pro Championship and Lexi Pechout won the Women’s Championship, but there were two other riders that walked away with titles as well. Ty Tremaine locked up the Junior EnduroCross title at the previous round in Idaho and Cooper Abbott won his class this weekend at the final Ontario, California round and clinched the 2014 Open Amateur Class Championship. Cooper’s results in the Amateur class also allowed him to qualify for the evening’s Pro Class event and race against the top riders in the world.

Ty Tremaine in his own words…
“I had a good night last night. Got second in my heat race behind Cody, transferring straight to the main. In the main I got pretty bad arm pump and finished a solid 10th to end the year. It is a great feeling winning the MAV TV Junior Championship. I want to thank everyone who helped me out this year. I’m excited and look forward to another great year in 2015!”

Cooper Abbott in his own words…
“Tonight, I also qualified to race in the Pro Class so I knew it was going to be a busy night. Right after my Pro heat race I had to go straight to the line to race the Open Amateur class. I had the 5th gate pick and ended up pulling the holeshot. I knew I just had to ride consistent, which is what I did, and I ended up winning the Amateur main event. Since I won the final round I also won the Open Amateur Championship which was definitely one of the best feelings of my life. Overall it was an awesome year and I can’t wait for the 2015 EnduroCross series to start.”
