FLORESVILLE, TX – October 30, 2014 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Cycle Ranch MX is hosting the San Antonio Zombie Run on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2:30 p.m. The 3.1-mile Zombie Run will also have a night run, titled “Black Ops” at 7:30 p.m.
The Zombie Run is a nation-wide event enacting a zombie apocalypse during a 3.1 mile run. The run includes several “zombies” chasing runners through obstacles such as school busses, smoke, mazes, haunted zones and fire. The zombie’s goal is to take one of the runners’ black flags. The runner’s goal is to survive the course with as many black flags still on their belt as possible.
The Zombie Run is also partnered with the Kennedy Krieger Institute, a national charity that supports kids battling brain injuries and disorders. Donations can be made to the Kennedy Krieger Institute at the event.
Pre-registration is available online at www.thezombierun.com/san-antonio/. The pre-registration cost for the run is $45, and the day of the event the cost will increase to $70. Registration includes entry to either The Zombie Run or The Zombie Run: Black Ops, a backpack, t-shirt, medal and access to the after-party. Black Ops participants will also receive a light-up wristband. There is a parking fee (cash only) at the event of $10.
Gear check will also be available at the event. The check is free for anything that can fit into a 1-gallon zip lock bag, and $5 for any sized item that is larger than a 1-gallon zip lock bag.
Food, drinks and The Zombie Run memorabilia will be available for purchase on-site with all payment methods. Overnight camping options are also available ranging from $15-$175 a night.
Participants are encouraged to bring an ID, change of clothing, towel, running shoes, dancing shoes, cash and a headlamp if running the Black Ops course. Participants are also encouraged to arrive one hour prior to their run time.
