Cycle industry vet Ebert succeeds Pearman
MAPLE GROVE, MN – December 1, 2012 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Minnesota Motorcycle Monthly, the Midwest’s leading monthly publication dedicated to every niche of the motorcycle market, is pleased to announce the addition of Guido Ebert as editor.
Ebert, a Minnesota native, succeeds Sev Pearman, who relinquished the position after efficaciously leading the magazine for the past 10 years.
“After a decade with MMM®, pulling together nearly 100 issues, I felt it time for new stewardship,” Pearman said. “Guido brings a unique skill set and passion to the position. His addition to the team will allow us to broaden our reach and expand our web presence.”
“I continue to be amazed and proud of the fine work done by all those involved in MMM,” Publisher Victor Wanchena affirmed. “I recently met with Guido, and anticipate a dynamic future for the newspaper.”
With two-wheeler experience on three continents, Ebert is a former senior editor of Dealernews magazine, managing editor of Powersports Business magazine and contributor to numerous other motorcycle-related media outlets. He’ll helm MMM alongside managing editor Bruce Mike.
“Vic, Sev and Bruce have done a fantastic job of keeping MMM’s print edition relevant in this increasingly paperless society, and I look forward to working with the entire team to build upon their successes during my tenure with the publication,” Ebert said. “Motorcycling – like fishing, golf, running and bicycling – is hugely popular here in Minnesota, and so it only makes sense that we have an outlet that represents the rider community – from novice to expert, scooterist to touring enthusiast.”
Motorcycle ridership is at record-high levels in Minnesota, with more than 230,000 registered two-wheelers and approx. 400,000 licensed operators (7.5% of the population).
MMM is available for pick-up at nearly 300 locations throughout the state or via subscription. Learn more at www.MNmotorcycle.com
