BREA, CA – May 7, 2012 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) is ecstatic over the signing of acclaimed Supercross and Motocross Champion, James Stewart, to a multi-year contract with Yoshimura Suzuki Racing. Stewart will compete in both AMA Motocross and Supercross aboard the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 beginning with the first round of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship in Sacramento, CA on May 19th, 2012.
Suzuki has been a dominant force in Supercross and Motocross for a number of years and a leader in technology in order to maintain that stronghold with the continued development of the Suzuki fuel-injected RM-Z450. Since its introduction, the Suzuki RM-Z450 has amassed the most AMA Motocross Championships as well as the most motocross race wins of any four-stroke 450. The RM-Z was also the first four-stroke AMA Supercross Championship 450 and the first fuel-injected 450 to win AMA Supercross and Motocross titles. American Suzuki hopes to continue the success of the RM-Z brand with Stewart at the helm.
