SAGINAW, MI – February 6, 2012 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – The crowd watching a circus performance in Michigan watches in horror as a motorcyclist falls to the ground while performing a stunt in the show. The accident, which happened during the final act at the Shrine Circus in Saginaw, Michigan was caught on video.
The motorcyclist makes his way into the ring to perform a stunt, takes a dramatic leap into the air and ends up tangled in a low hanging wire. You can hear the crowd gasp as the biker gets tangled in the wire.
The stunt man apparently fell at least 25-feet to the ground. The crew turned the lights out to help him. The performer broke his femur during the fall.
The incident happened during a performance on Sunday. Investigators believe the wire may have been hung too low.
