EV TAIWAN 2012 revs up for April!

EV TAIWAN 2011 builds on success!
In 2011 EV Taiwan and MOTORCYCLE Taiwan hosted a total of 235 exhibitors who used 648 booths. The twin events drew 18,248 visitors including 1,661 overseas buyers. These included the top ten nations represented, namely Japan, China, the U.S.A., Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and Germany.
The packed venue welcomed representatives from the top tier, including makers such as TESLA MOTORS from the U.S.; YAMAHA, MITSUBISHI, HONDA CARS, and HITACHI SOLUTIONS from Japan and DAYTONA CORP., Japan’s biggest distributor of motorcycle parts. With them were BMW MOTORRAD from Germany; SCHLETTER GMBH (Germany’s leading new energy company); JOHANNES J. MATTHIES GMBH & CO (Germany’s major chain distributor of car and motorcycle parts and accessories), HERANN HARTJE KG (German dealer of car & motorcycle parts) and AUTOBINCK HOLDING N.V. (one of the Netherlands’ top three car manufacturers), MSA INTERNATIONAL (Dutch car importer); Korea’s LG INNOTEK; and Indonesia’s No. 1 car manufacturer ASTRA OTOPART. All these manufacturers came to EV TAIWAN & MOTORCYCLE TAIWAN to scout new products and business partners.
Foreign buyers praise EV Taiwan strengths in tech & R&D
Oversea buyers visiting the show praised the R&D strengths of Taiwan manufacturers. Richard Rass, assistant manager at Vectric Corporation in the U.S. exclaimed, “Even though I have just arrived, I have already seen many products that are very intriguing and will make a difference in the electric vehicle industry.” He added that “Taiwan is getting a good head start on everyone by holding such a big industry expo.”
Meanwhile Fernando Durao, President of the Brazil-based DIPSA said that his company has procured motorcycle and bicycle parts from Taiwan for nearly two decades and that he is very familiar with Taiwan companies. He flew to Taiwan for the first EV TAIWAN to seek potential partners in this newly-emerging market.
Taiwan’s top pro show EV TAIWAN kicks off in 2012
