Introducing RSD Gloves For 2012

Three Styles Available Now!

LOS ALAMITOS, CA – November 16, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) –  Gloves are now available as part of the rapidly expanding Roland Sands Design collection. The RSD Glove program for 2012 follows-up the aesthetics and functionality road map established by the RSD apparel and accessories collection introduced earlier this year. Combining a heritage-based design platform with detailed functional and protective features, RSD gloves are the most comfortable and “control friendly” pair you will ever ride in.

“Your hands are your connection to the bike,” says racer turned bike-builder turned apparel innovator Roland Sands. “So we designed gloves that offer excellent protection, superior fit and the user-friendly feel that every rider wants. Protection and feel were the top priorities,” Sands insists. “Plus, they look great!”

The RSD Glove program currently offers three styles: Diesel, Mission and the Domino. From the shorty Diesel to the gauntlet-style Domino, RSD gloves provide a full range of protective and coverage choices for any rider. All gloves feature soft, yet durable top grain cowhide construction, a pre-curved ergonomic fit, adjustability, and protective reinforcement in critical areas.

From the waxed cotton and oiled leather of the RSD Limited Set riding jackets to the Main Set offerings for everyday jackets, to a comprehensive collection of tees, headwear, thermals and hoodies, the 2012 RSD apparel line has something for every enthusiast. “The RSD line is riding gear built with a parallel of fashion and function,” says Sands.

“Whether you’re avoiding Sunday drivers on the freeway, exploring an unknown back road with more corners than cars, or taking a quick rip to the local watering hole, we’ve been there… and we’ve got you covered,” concludes Sands.

THE RSD STORY

Roland Sands was just 5 years old when his parents first put him on a motorcycle, and there has been no stopping him ever since! His love of speed on two wheels took him to the professional racing ranks for 10 years. He set multiple track records around the world and was the 1998 American Motorcyclist Association 250GP champion. However, 32 broken bones later, Roland decided to trade in his racing leathers for paper, pencil and a computer designing products for noted motorcycle wheel manufacturer, Performance Machine.

He founded RSD in 2005 and continues to shake up the motorcycle industry to this very day. Roland and his bikes have been featured in more than 400 magazine articles worldwide, including 100+ cover stories. RSD projects have also appeared on television segments broadcast on MTV, SPEED Channel, ESPN2, Discovery Channel and the TLC networks.

RSD has worked on custom bike projects with celebrities and athletes (Mickey Rourke’s latest motorcycle is in the RSD Design Center right now as well as customized Tony Hawk and Shaun White machines) and major projects with industry leaders, including Aprilia, Bell Helmets, Ducati, Dunlop, Honda, Toyota, Vance & Hines, Victory and Yamaha just to name a few.
