Company to bring record-breaking electric superbike and electric powertrain technology to Milan show
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 1, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – For the first time in company history, Mission Motors will be participating in the International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan, Italy.
The company will be displaying their record-breaking electric superbike, the Mission R, as well as the electric powertrain systems, components and software that Mission offers to vehicle manufacturers.
“We are excited to be displaying our technology at the International Motorcycle Exhibition for the first time,” said David Salguero, Mission’s Marketing Manager. “EICMA is the motorcycle industry’s largest show, and electric propulsion is gaining rapid momentum in powersports. With our roots in high-performance electric motorcycles and the cutting-edge technology we offer to OEMs, now is the right time for us to be at EIMCA.”
The Mission R electric superbike is Mission’s development and demonstration platform. In July, the bike won the TTXGP race at Laguna Seca, breaking all existing electric vehicle lap records at that track and running lap times comparable to AMA Pro Supersport motorcycles. Mission offers this same technology to vehicle manufacturers, enabling them to bring better performing EVs and hybrids to market in less time.
Mission Motors will be located in the American Pavilion, Hall 2, Booth I-26. The International Motorcycle Exhibition is held in Milan, Italy on November 8 – 13.
