  1. Earlier this year I took a ride on my 09 Ultra Glide . About 15 miles later I came to a red light and had no rear brakes. The next day a friend replaced the brake switch to remedy the problem.

I wonder if anything is done by HD when we take care of recalls prior to them happening? Does anyone know or have a similar experience?

  2. in order to have the warranty valid it has to be done by a licenced Harley-Davidson dealership. there is paperwork and forms that have to be filed that only a dealership can do.
