Motoworks / Can-Am DS 450 ATV Racer John Natalie Wins 2011 AMA ATV Motorcross Championship

Valcourt, Québec – September 7, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Motoworks /Can-Am Pro ATV racer John Natalie finished third overall at the series finale in Tennessee, to win the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross Championship aboard BRP’sCan-Am DS 450 ATV.

Natalie secured his second career national Pro ATV motocross championship and the first for the DS 450 ATV with a performance that saw him come from last place to fourth place in the final Pro race of the year.

Natalie’s consistency, along with teammate Chad Wienen’s four victories and fellow pro Chase Snapp’s successful rookie campaign, contributed to BRP winning the 2011 AMA ATV Manufacturer’s Cup Championship. The three riders combined for seven victories and an impressive 11 qualifying podiums in 11 rounds of racing to win the title.

Natalie, who recorded three overall victories in 2011 aboard the Motoworks-preppedCan-AmDS 450 ATV, finished on the podium eight out of 11 races to score a total of 432 points. Known as “Ironman” Natalie, the Pennsylvania-based pro lived up to his nickname as he raced the last four rounds with a surgically repaired forearm. Despite the mid-season injury, he recorded one win and two third-place finishes over the final four rounds to secure the title.
