THOUSAND OAKS, CA – August 23, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Troy Lee Designs (TLD) unveiled their newest invention in light-jersey motorcycle gear at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium this past May 7th. Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda riders Cole Seely and Travis Baker sported the new gear as they competed in the AMA Supercross Finals. The duo appeared in the ‘Beast’ design of the Air Gear line and sparked an interest in what is being touted as, “the lightest, highest performing jersey in motocross.”
“We’re really excited with the outcome of the line,” a Troy Lee Designs representative stated. “We wanted to couple the styles of motocross gear with functionality. And we spent a great amount of time focusing on the breathability of the material and its practicality on the track.”
The design has proven to remain true to TLD’s goals of functionally and breathability. The pants and jerseys are made of micro-mesh fiber to ensure a light fabric that will keep riders dry as they practice in extreme conditions. In addition, the gel print on the tail of the jerseys keeps the jerseys in place through competition and practice.
The Air Gear line, however, doesn’t compromise style for functionality. The gear maintains the styles of traditional motocross gear and is sold in four different color schemes and designs. The styles are: the Beast, Medusa, Stinger, and Team. In addition to this, motorcycle helmets are sold under these same color schemes which allows riders to either match all of their gear to one style, or mix and match the various color and design styles with each other.
The new 2012 Troy Lee Designs Grand Prix Air Gear is currently available on the BTO Sports website. To browse through the TLD line or look for a specific design style, visit www.BTOSports.com.
