What Are the Prizes?
One lucky contestant will win the Grand Prize, a $10,000 pre-paid MasterCard, and 14 others will win pre-paid card prizes ranging from $250 to $2,500. Here’s the cool thing: prizes must be spent on something motorcycle or ATV-related at a participating dealer, in other words inside your store. So it’s good for them – and great for you.
How does it work?
Pretty simple. Contestants have to visit a participating dealer, a “brick-and-mortar” dealer or retailer and pick up an entry card. The consumer web site www.reviveyourride.org has a list of participating dealers which activate once you purchase a “dealer kit”. Each entry card has the web address and a unique number which must be used to validate the entry. The customer enters on-line starting April 15, 2010 – for a chance to win. A valid email address and phone number (including area code) are required to enter.
If a customer can’t find a participating dealer, they can send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Revive Your Ride! Sweepstakes Headquarters, 2 Jenner Ste 150, Irvine, CA 92618. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by June 30, 2010 and received by July 7, 2010 to be eligible.
Prizes will be awarded on a pre-loaded MasterCard which can only be used at participating dealers on powersports equipment or services.
Why should I participate?
Why wouldn’t you? This is the perfect opportunity, the perfect timing, to get customers into your dealership. And it’s the first time our industry has pulled together for a promotional effort of this magnitude. The message to consumers is clear: now is the time to Revive Your Ride! and industry retailers have the coolest products and trained staff to help make that happen.
OK, what do I have to do to participate?
Order the Revive Your Ride! Sweepstakes Dealer kit which includes 150 uniquely-numbered (serialized) entry cards and two posters. It’s only $25 (including shipping), which covers the production printing cost. The national promotional costs will be covered by MIC members. Ordering the kit will get you listed on the Sweepstakes customer-facing web site participating dealers page, so consumers know where to go to get their entry cards. The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll get more traffic into your dealership.
What can I do to let my customers know about the Sweepstakes?
You can download free posters, banners, post cards, and more. Put the logo on your website, send out a free eCard to your customer database, organize special events – you’ll find lots of ideas for driving traffic.
How will my customers find out about the Sweepstakes?
MIC is launching a multi-media campaign to promote the contest. And MIC members, including OEs, aftermarket suppliers/distributors, media outlets, and other industry business influencers are also promoting the sweepstakes on their websites and in all consumer communications.
