March 25, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Curt Lance joins as a T.E.A.M. Business Group Moderator. Mr. Curt Lance is formally retiring from day-to-day dealership operational management as of March 31st, 2010.
For the last six years Curt served as the General Manager of Team Bozeman Motorsports, which sells Polaris, Yamaha and Kawasaki products. Team Bozeman Motorsports is the largest Big Box facility in Southwest Montana.
Many of you may know Curt because he was instrumental, along with dealer Cliff Gullett, in securing protective legislation against Motorsports Manufacturers for the dealers of Montana. They secured legislation that prevents manufacturers from requiring dealers to take inventory in order to earn incentives or assistance.
Curt began his career at the 2nd oldest Ford dealership in America, which was located in Seattle, Washington. Over his 19-year tenure there, he occupied every operational management seat in the dealership. Starting as a salesperson, he was the top producer for two years before becoming a service advisor. Next came service and parts management. He then developed and operated the dealerships first F&I department. Curt also served as Rental and Leasing Manager, Sales Manager, and General Sales Manager.
After completing his accounting studies, he served as the dealerships comptroller, before becoming Vice President & General Manager. Curt also owned an independent Auto Leasing Company and an Advertising Agency.
He served as a Secretary-Treasurer for Chrysler Marketing Investment, assisting in training dealers and comptrollers in Dealer Development stores. His extensive accounting background and his many years of operational experience, allows him to provide extremely accurate business plans and budgets for his clients. He first finds the dollars, and then the dimes!
