Minneapolis, MN – October 19, 2009 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Powersports industry veteran editor Guido Ebert has been dismissed by Advanstar Communications as part of downsizing within the publishing company.
Ebert joined Advanstar in Jan. 2007 as senior editor of Dealernews, a trade magazine dedicated to the motorcycle industry. Based in his Minneapolis office, Ebert created content for Dealernews magazine, Dealernews.com and Dealernewsblog.com. He also supplied content to 2-Wheel Tuner magazine, Sportbikeclub.com and the International Motorcycle Show (IMS) catalog of products.
Prior to Advanstar, Ebert lead a team of staff editors, contributing writers, and creative talent as managing editor of Powersports Business magazine; assisted in formulating strategic direction for Powersports Business magazine and PowersportsBusiness.com; and created content for and updated both PowersportsBusiness.com and its related newsletters.
Ebert entered the powersports industry in May 2001 following stints at newspapers and in automobile sales. His library of work includes thousands of articles about manufacturers, distributors and dealers doing business in the U.S. motorcycle, ATV, snowmobile and personal watercraft markets, and he has served as an industry representative, speaker, analyst and consultant for the powersports industries in Asia and Europe.Guido Ebert
