XDL Sportbike Freestyle Championship Launches Official Merchandise

Los Angeles, CA – September 27, 2009 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – After four seasons the XDL Sportbike Championship has finally launched its own official merchandise section at http://www.xdlshow.com/store.html. It is a small step but an important one as the emerging action sport of stunt riding becomes more and more ingrained in the mainstream. The present product line up features two limited edition collector’s shirts, the standard black XDL tee as well as a 48-page softcover book called: XDL – The Early Years. The book is a pictorial history of XDL from 2005 through 2008 with a three page introduction that reveals all you’ll want to know about how the sport got off the ground. Future products will include:

  1. A DVD to be released over the winter
  2. New versions of the standard XDL tee
  3. A limited edition collector’s shirt for every event in 2010
  4. A fan guide for the 2010 season
  5. Athlete shirts
  6. Sticker sets

Said series founder Randy Grube: “The merchandise section is still very small. But hey, we have to start somewhere. It is an important building block for XDL since it extends the reach of the series. Now people in Japan or France that can’t come to the events can still get a shirt or a copy of the book. We’ve learned over the last few years that people want to be part of XDL and they want to buy into the sport. Something simple like a t-shirt allows them to do that. We look forward to this becoming a bigger and bigger part of the series.”

The XDL Sportbike Freestyle Championship is the only national stunt riding championship, soon entering its 5th season. XDL is the leader in reaching the core 20-year old sportbike demographic. For more info on XDL, please visit http://www.xdlshow.com.
